Hey ,
Can you imagine biffing it that hard in the very first email?
I know what your real name is (thank you, Stripe), but itβs fun to start things off in a playful way. Well, thatβs my idea of funβ¦ anyway.
The very first email in your course should accomplish three things:
- Give yourself the best chance to land in the primary inbox
- Get the reader to permanently assign you to the primary inbox
- Get the reader to perform an action to start the course
If you keep it simple with a mostly-plain-text email and use their realΒ name in the intro (which I did not do), you have a pretty decent shot at landing in the primary inbox.
Itβs not guaranteed, so Iβd suggest sprinkling in additional suggestions at the Checkout or Confirmation pages (as you probably noticed during your own checkout), reminding people to check their non-primary tabs and folders.
The more technical side of landing in the main inbox has to do with domain authority and authentication.
We can address those later on.
Down below is a link.
When you click the link, itβll take about 30/60 seconds for the first email to arrive.
That's good because it means you will have officially started the course.
Great job!
Hereβs where it gets funky: the link is going to take you to a webpage which has some explicit instructions on how to move me and my emails to your main inbox.
Please follow the instructions β it makes the rest of the course go that much smoother.
Alright, hereβs theΒ link. You can click it now.
Letβs do this!
Amanda
PS this email based course is designed for people who know WHO they are talking to and WHY. If you need some additional help in that department, I am giving you a link to unlock my 35 Day Personal Brand Challenge for only $43.
